Cranium damage

Auto accident victims of traumatic brain injury are often unaware at first that they have sustained injury. Persons with damage to the cells of the brain have been known to “walk away” from an accident, even direct traffic around the accident. It is not until later that injury becomes apparent in memory loss, dizziness, headache, loss of sexual activity, and/or nausea. In other more severe cases where a fracture to the skull has occurred brain damage is more easily detectable. In either case symptoms can be severe and last for up to a year in some cases. Depending upon the amount of time the victim was unconscious, the injury is graded by degree from mild to severe. The degree of injury to the brain does not reflect the severity of the symptoms. A victim with mild brain injury may experience severe symptoms. A doctor can best determine if you have suffered any brain injury and to what degree.
