FLOWER MOUND – An 18-year-old girl from Keller died when her car collided head-on with another vehicle Wednesday night, police said.
The accident happened in the 5200 block of Highway 377, near FM 1171 in Flower Mound.
Officers said around 9:45 p.m., a Mustang driven by Lauren Lehua Saludares struck an SUV.
Witnesses reported Saludares may have been trying to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone. There is a slight rise in the road and she would have had a limited view on oncoming traffic.
Saludares was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 49-year-old Argyle woman in the SUV was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital. She was listed in critical, but stable, condition.
Police are still investigating the accident.
