A controversy of speed limits recently hit the Texas court system. While Texas lawmakers put forth effort to increase speed limits on future highways, others claim that the rise in speed will concurrently raise accident and fatality rates. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, traffic deaths dropped in 2010 and are averaging a record low since 1949. If the traffic deaths are dropping, people are curious to know what will happen when the speed starts increasing. (more…)
