Parkland hospital of Dallas is the county’s only taxpayer-funded hospital and serves some of our community’s most vulnerable patients — the poor, elderly and critically injured. They have a comprehensive trauma care program is comprised of a multidisciplinary group of leaders from many areas of the hospital, including injury prevention, operating services particularly in critical care, orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery, anesthesia, urology, radiology, emergency medicine, emergency department and inpatient services, nursing, psychosocial services, rehabilitation, and research.

Something unbelievable happened on July 13th in Carrollton, TX. A 19 year old construction worker fell down a 55 foot hole at Good Elementary School and survived. The hole was only 33 inches across, barely wide enough for the man’s shoulders to fit in. Firefighters from both Carrollton and Coppell rushed to the scene and promptly devised a plan to bring the man back up to the surface. (more…)
