An accident in Grand Prairie was fatal for one Arlington Sam Houston High School student Sunday afternoon. According to the Dallas Morning News, 16-year-old Caitlyn Carlisle was a passenger in a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign at SW 14th street and the frontage road of Highway 161. The vehicle was then hit by a SUV on the passenger side. The driver of the car carrying Carlisle and another passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries; Carlisle was also taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
