- Arbitrage
- A strategy that exploits differing odds across bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A point spread that gives a disadvantage to the stronger team and an advantage to the weaker team, making odds closer to 50/50.
- Asian Line
- A type of betting line used in Asian handicap markets that eliminates the draw as a possible outcome.
- Back Bet
- A conventional bet that a specific outcome WILL happen, placed with a bookmaker.
- Banker Bet
- A highly confident selection you include in a multi‑bet to improve the overall odds of the wager.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- An online tool that lets you combine multiple markets from a single match into one custom bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital record on the bookmaker’s site that lists your selected bets, odds, and potential payout before you confirm.
- Both Teams to Score
- A bet on whether each side will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle your bet before the event ends, either to lock in a profit or cut a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, increasing your chance to win.
- Free Bet
- A token given by the bookmaker that you can use to place a bet without using your own money.
- Goal Line
- A total line set by the bookmaker predicting the combined number of goals in a match.
- In-Play
- Betting on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a specific outcome will NOT happen, typically placed on a betting exchange.
- Mix Parlay

- Odds Boost

- Over/Under 2.5
- A prediction on whether the total number of goals in a game will be more than 2.5 or less than 2.5.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Pre-Match
- Betting on a match before it starts, based on the odds set by the bookmaker.
- ROI
- Return on Investment; the net profit from bets relative to the total amount wagered, expressed as a percentage.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Unit
- A standard measurement of bet size, often a small percentage of your bankroll, used to manage risk.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, suggesting an edge.
- Vigorish
- The commission charged by a bookmaker on losing bets, also called juice, built into the odds.
